Getting Started in Task Bar Hero

TBH plays itself in your taskbar. Your only early jobs: set it up right, unlock the two slot runes, and let it idle. Here is the first hour.

  1. Install from Steam — It is free. Launch once, then dock the tiny window to your taskbar.
  2. Open the Rune Tree — Spend your first runes on Command (hero slot +1) then Awakening (skill slot +1). See Runes.
  3. Turn on offline rewards — Unlock the Rest rune so the game keeps farming while closed.
  4. Pick a starting party — Knight + Ranger + Sorcerer is the safe free trio. See the Tier List.
Black screen / window not showing? Press Shift+F11 to reset display scale, and Shift+F12 to reset the window position. Multi-monitor users: drag it back to the primary screen first.

Best early settings

  • Enable auto-battle and auto-skill — it is the whole point.
  • Turn on auto-pickup and (after the rune) auto-open chests.
  • Cap the frame rate to keep CPU low while it idles in the background.
  • Keep the lowest-rarity gear filter on so your inventory does not flood.
Do I need to keep the game focused?
No. It runs docked in the taskbar and fights automatically, even minimized.
Does it progress while closed?
Yes, once you unlock the Rest rune for offline rewards.
